Save the Bees

A diificult but successful rescue

One of our old ashtrees was sheltering several swarms of bees. The tree was hollow and dangerous, and has to be felled, but no tree surgeon would climb up with so many potentially resentful bees ...

Passionate beekeepers, Michel Ducrocq and Jean-François Guerrier came to the rescue and managed to lure the bees to a temporary hive, before taking them to join the ranks of Ducrocq’s honey producers.

His Fleurs du Perche honey is delicious and will from now on grace our breakfast table
